NEWS MEDIA INFORMATION On the news media front:

(1) Robert Burnes of the Associated Press is working on a story about problem plants and how the NRC detects degredation of performance. He is interviewing Tom Murley today.

(2)' Region I officials will meet with the press at Nine Mile Point Monday, August 28, concerning the activities of the augmented inspection team which is completing its examination of the waste storage situation.

The meeting will follow an exit interview with the utility and a briefing of the local congressman.
