SECY-88-202 - STANDARDIZATION OF ADVANCED REACTOR DESIGNS SECY-88-203 - KEY LICENSING ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH DOE SPONSORED ADVANCED REACTOR DESIGNS l

In response to your memoranda of August 18 and October 25, 1988 and in light of the fact that DOE has not adequately responded to your request for technical information on its advanced nuclear power plants, we have closed our files on SECY-88-202 and SECY-88-203.

When the staff receives DOE's rationale for their differing positions on the MHTGR containment, the staff papers should be revised as appropriate and re-submitted to the Commission for consideration.
