STATEMENT OF CONCERNS

Reference:

Allegation No. RIV-92-A-0016 1.

Allegedly, during hot functional tests in 1983, CPSES loaded fuel, operated the reactor to generate steam in order to perform the hot i

functional tests.

As a result of this unauthorized event, workers removing coatings inside containment were exposed to radiation.

l 2.

Allegedly, tritium alarms have been sounding as material is released into Squaw Creek Reservoir and other release areas.

You believe from information you have received that CPSES released approximately 1800 i

pCi/l during the 2nd quarter 1991.

3.

CPSES is using landfills onsite to dispose of radioactive waste.
