Following Mr. Dow's call to our office (summary of which is.
attachad), and my discussion with you, I epoke to Mr. Dow this afternoon.
He indicated that since his call to our office he had received a letter from Region IV.
He still had-some remaining conoarna aven with the Region IV 1stter and those cor;cerns cantared on the 16-reels of tape.
He stated that Ben hnd taken pictures of the tapes when he had visited him and had-taken 4 sono with radio frequencies.
He characterized the Region's letter as str. ting that based on the evidence, apparently the two items Ben had taken, the Region did not feel there was a security problem.
Mr. Dow stated that if its not a saourity probles, how did the infor=& tion get to Mr. Dow, who is not associated with the site?
Why was it so easy to get the tapes off sits and what is contained in the tapes?
I told Mr. Dow that : had spoken to you and that someons from 01, probably someone from Region IV, would be in touch with him.
I stated that notwithstanding the fact that he had received the letter, I was still asking sonsona from CI to get in touch with him.
I appreciate your following up en this natter.
Please let me know of any significant developments in this c. attar in case Mr.
