Inspection Procedure (continued)

Check that rameplate is attached securely:

1) Cask nameplates must be welded tre entire length of each side.
2) Fireshield rameplates need only four attactment points - one at each corner.

Nameplates must rot be loose, bent, or otherwise damaged.

i Verify that the nameplate locaticr1 on the wooden fireshield is 90' away from e.

forklift openings in the pallet.

f.

Verify that the rameplate location en the large casks is approximately 45' away from cask lifting ears.

4. Irsta11ation a.

Obta$n necessary rameplate from RP&S Analyst or Custodian, I

b.

Weld the nameplate on tre cask using appropriate weld rod for tie material.

Nameplates must be attached to the cask in an area approximately 45' away from c.

cask lifting ears to prevent damage to rameplate fran forklift.

d.

Attach the rameplate to the fireshield using one of the following corner attactnent methods:

1) Wooden Fireshield - 4 corner attachment with wood screws.
2) Metal Fireshield - Sheet metal screws L

- Rivets

- Tack welds j-

- Nuts and bolts L

Location must be 90 away frcin pallet opening on the woodel fireshield.

Becord nameplate change in the Cask PM Iogbook.
