1FLECON UlTH CAP On June 24, 1982, I received a call from Ms. B' illy Car de of the GAP organiza-tion.

With regard to 1.aSalle, she stated that they were aware that we had not yet contactedQMfe-3JfMa name provided to us at_a meeting by Mr. Tom Devine on June 2 T332 D l number is{ p fi g 3g.*3 [ l acknowledged that this was an oversight on our poi t'.'

She stated she had just become aware on Vedncoday, of a group in Chicago which has developed a long listing of allegations with regaid to the quality assurance program at Zack.

She stat ed that this has direct implication on the itidland, LaSalle, and Clinton sites, and urged us not to go foneard with any licensing action until we had received and investigated these concerns.

She.tated that she or Tom.0cvine would n.eet with the gioup within the next couple of days and they weie going to urge them to give their findings directly to our of fice.

Regarding Midland, she had heard that Region ill was developing a special investigation team to look at itidiand, and she wanted to know how the team was organized and who was on it.

I told her that it was not a special investigation team, but an organization change was being made within the of fice to directly address the problem at Midland.

I stated that I did not know as yet the c.omposition of all the members of that organization, but that it would be reporting directly to the Regional Administrator's of fice, probably through Mr. Warnick.

She stated her desi re to have CAP work closely with the new organization to address issues that are being identified.

She asked specifically that Mr. Keppler return her call to discuss with her the way in which the organizati s could work toDether.

Pursuant to,the applicable provisions of the Freedom of Infontation Act, the undersigned hereby requests that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission provide copies of all documents pertcining to tne Zack Company and/or work perfonned by that company in the ccnstruction of the nuclear facilities located at LaSalle, Illinois, Clinton, Illinois and Midland, Michigan.

The information requested includes, but is not limited to, all correspondence, exhibits, memoranda or other documents received by the NRC from the Government Accountability Project or any similar organization concerning the conduct of or work perfonned by the Zack Company at these facilities.

It is our understanding that within the past 45 days, correspondence, memoranda, affidavits and similar documentation has been filed with the NRC by or on behalf of former employees of Zack Company, and these documents should be included with any documentation provided pursuant to this request.
