RECORD OF TELEPHONE DISCUSSION REGARDING USE OF APPRCPRIATE ASME CODE A telephone conversation was held on March 31, 1983, from 2:00 - 2:30 p.m. with Ernie Koepke, llarry Daykins and Bruce Henley of Consn:ners Powar Corapany; Randy Howard, Bob Lide, Bill Gray, Harry Harrison and Tom Helms of Babcock and Wilcox; Henry Flecht of Energy Technology Enoineering Center; and Melanie Miller and Jai Rajan of the !!RC.

Consumers proposes to use Appendix F of the 1980 ASME Code (approved February 1, 1982 by the llRC) for qualification of the pressurizer support lugs rather than the 1968 ASME Code which is being used for all other components. The purpose of the call was to notify the flRC of the proposed change.Section III Subsection

!!CA Article 1140 of the ASME Code requires approval of the enforcement authority.

Consumers indicated that the change would be documented formally in July 1983 in their FSAR amendment package.
