APRIL 26, 2019 NOTIFICATION: CHANGE IN REVIEW SCHEDULE - Oyster Creek License Transfer Application (L-2018-LLM-0002)

Date: Friday, April 26, 2019 8:07:29 AM Mr. Helker:

By letter dated August 31, 2018 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML18243A489), Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon),

Oyster Creek Environmental Protection, LLC (OCEP) and Holtec Decommissioning International, LLC (HDI) (the Applicants) submitted an Application for Order Approving Direct Transfer of Renewed Facility Operating License and General License and Proposed Conforming License Amendment for Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station (Oyster Creek) and the Oyster Creek Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation.

The purpose of this email is to inform Exelon of a revised review schedule from the April 17 revised review schedule (ADAM Accession No. ML19108A013) for the above proceeding.

The schedule change is based on Exelons request of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to try to expedite its review so that Exelon could proceed with its planned purchase sale agreement closing date. The NRC now plans to complete its review by July 1, 2019. If there are emergent complexities or challenges in our review that would cause changes to this forecasted completion date, the reasons for the changes, along with the new estimates, will be communicated during the routine interactions with the assigned project manager.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this email will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC website at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.

If you have any questions, please contact me at (301) 415-6822.

Sincerely, A

Amy M. Snyder, Senior Project Manager Reactor Decommissioning Branch Division of Decommissioning, Uranium Recovery, and Waste Programs Office of Material Safety and Safeguards (301) 415-6822 Amy.Snyder@nrc.gov
