Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station; Consideration of Approval of Transfer of License and Conforming Amendment AGENCY: Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

ACTION: Application for direct transfer of license; reopening of comment period.

SUMMARY

On October 19, 2018, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) solicited comments on Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station; Consideration of Approval of Transfer of License and Conforming Amendment. The public comment period closed on November 19, 2018. The NRC has decided to reopen the public comment period to allow more time for members of the public to develop and submit comments.

DATES: The comment period for the document published on October 19, 2018 (83 FR 53119), has been reopened. Comments must be filed January 9, 2019. Comments received after this date will be considered, if it is practical to do so, but the Commission is able to ensure consideration only for comments received on or before this date.

II. Discussion On October 19, 2018, the NRC solicited comments on Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station; Consideration of Approval of Transfer of License and Conforming Amendment. The purpose of the original Federal Register notice (83 FR 53119; October 19, 2018) was to provide an opportunity to comment, request a hearing, and petition for leave to intervene. The public comment period closed on November 19, 2018. The NRC has decided to reopen the public comment period on this

4 document until January 9, 2019, to allow more time for members of the public to develop and submit comments. The period to request a hearing and petition for leave to intervene is not being reopened.
