Dear Mr. Hanson:

Enclosed is a copy of the Notice of Reopening the Comment Period for the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station; Consideration of Approval of Transfer of License and Conforming Amendment related to the application dated August 31, 2018, filed by Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon, the licensee).

The application pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations ( 10 CFR),

Sections 50.80 and 72.50 seeks U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approval of the proposed direct transfer of the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station (Oyster Creek),

Renewed Facility Operating License No. DPR-16 and Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) 72-15 license to Oyster Creek Environmental Protection, LLC (OCEP) as the licensed owner and to Holtec Decommissioning International, LLC (HDI) as the licensed operator from the current holder of the license, Exelon.

The application also seeks pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90 and 10 CFR 72.56 the issuance of a conforming amendment to the licenses to reflect the transfer.

On October 19, 2018 (83 FR 53119), the NRC solicited comments on Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station; Consideration of Approval of Transfer of License and Conforming Amendment. The public comment period closed on November 19, 2018. In response to a request to extend the comment period in a letter dated November 16, 2018 (Agencywide Documents and Access Management System Accession No. ML18323A561), the NRC has decided to reopen the public comment period for 30 more days to allow more time for members of the public to develop and submit comments. The period to request a hearing and petition for leave to intervene is not being reopened.

On October 19, 2018, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) solicited comments on "Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station; Consideration of Approval of Transfer of License and Conforming Amendment." The public comment period closed on November 19, 2018. The NRC has decided to reopen the public comment period to allow more time for members of the public to develop and submit comments.
