OYSTER CREEK NUCLEAR POWER STATION - ISSUANCE OF EXEMPTIONS FROM 10 CFR 50.82(a)(8)(i)(A) AND 10 CFR 50.75(h)(1)(iv)

Dear Mr. Hanson:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has approved the enclosed exemption from specific requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR)
Sections 50.82(a)(8)(i)(A) and 10 CFR 50.75(h)(1)(iv) for Holtec Decommissioning International, LLC (HDI). This action is in response to your application dated November 30, 2018, that requested the exemptions to allow the use of funds from the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station (Oyster Creek) nuclear decommissioning trust fund for the purposes of managing irradiated fuel and site restoration activities.
These exemptions were requested in relation to the August 31, 2018, request by Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon), Oyster Creek Environmental Protection, LLC (OCEP), and HDI to transfer the license for Oyster Creek to OCEP and HDI to expedite decommissioning.
The exemptions would only apply if the license amendment approving the transfer of the Oyster Creek license to OCEP and HDI is issued by the NRC.
