Cook Nuclear Plant Unit 1 TRANSMITTAL OF 1997 TUBE PULL RESULTS In support of the Cook Nuclear Plant unit 1 steam generator program and generic letter 95-05, "Voltage-Based Criteria for Westinghouse Steam Generator Tubes Affected by Outside Diameter Stress Corrosion Cracking," a tube pull was performed during the 1997 unit 1 steam generator inspection. The results of this inspection were provided to the NRC in our letter AEP:NRC:1166AN. Per a September 3, 1998, telephone conversation with the NRC staff, this information has been forwarded to Westinghouse for inclusion in. the industry tube pull database. The letter transmitting the subject information to Westinghouse has been included as an attachment to this letter.

Submittal of Cook Tube Pull Results Into Industry Database

Dear Mr. Petterle:

In support of the Cook Nuclear Plant Unit 1 steam generator program and NRC Generic Letter 95-05, "Voltage-Based Criteria for Westinghouse Steam Generator Tubes Affected by Outside Diameter Stress Corrosion Craking", a tube pull was performed during the 1997 Cook Unit 1 steam generator inspection. Segments from tube R8/C19 were subjected to a series of laboratory examinations for the purpose of defect characterization and the gathering of tube material data. The results of this examination are contained within the enclosed Framatome Technologies report (51-1268921-00). This information was summarized and provided to the NRC in a follow-up submittal to the Cook 90-day report. Per our September 15, 1998 telephone conversation, the information has been forwarded to you for inclusion into the industry tube pull database.
