SUMMiARY OF OCTOBER 5, 1983 NEETING On October 5, 1983, members of the NRC staff met with representatives of Southern California Edison Company (SCE) and their contractor, Westinghouse Electric Corporation.
The purpose of the neeting was to discuss the methodology being used to prioritize backfit projects for San Onofre Unit No. 1. is a list of attendees.
SCE is developing an "Integrated Living Schedule" to be used in scheduling all capital backfit projects. The licensee's representatives and their contractors discussed the details of the methodology and provided results and sensitivity studies for a subset of about 10 backfit items. Copies of the non-proprietary viewgraphs used by the licensee are provided in enclosure 2.
The NRC staff indicated that it would like to review the total list of m11odi fications that SCE is prioritizing.
The NRC staff also indicated that the Duane Arnold approach for formalizing schedules is the approach that the staff would like to take.
