RESPONSE TO NOTIFICATION OF READINESS FOR INSPECTION PROCEDURE 95001, INSPECTION FOR ONE OR TWO WHITE INPUTS IN A STRATEGIC PERFORMANCE AREA

Dear Mr. Sunseri:

By letter dated September 4, 2012, (ADAMS ML12248A407) the NRC notified Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation that the Wolf Creek Generating Station had been placed in the Regulatory Response Column of the NRCs Reactor Oversight Process (ROP) Action Matrix due to having one White mitigating systems performance indicator (Emergency AC System).

That letter stated that, in addition to ROP baseline inspections, the NRC planned to conduct a supplemental inspection in accordance with Inspection Procedure 95001, Supplemental Inspection for One or Two White Inputs in a Strategic Performance Area, once you have informed us of your readiness for this inspection.

This letter is to acknowledge your letter dated February 19, 2013, (ADAMS ML13051A840) regarding Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporations readiness for the performance of the supplemental inspection per Inspection Procedure 95001. Your letter indicated that you will be ready to support an inspection starting on March 4, 2013. We have therefore scheduled this inspection for March 4-8, 2013.
