The inspection was conducted by L. R.

Norderhaug of this office on May 18 through June 13, 1989.
It also refers to followup of past inspection items related to_ Units 1, 2 and 3 and to the'
discussions of our preliminary inspection findings hela by the inspector with D. Karner, J. Haynes and other members of your staff on May 23, 1989.
Areas examined during this inspection' included' activities related to physical protection as described in the enclosed inspection report.
Within these-areas,.the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and
,
representative records, interviews with facility and contractor. personnel, and
'
observations by the inspector.,
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations were noted.
In accordance with Section 2.790(d) of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, l
Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, documentation of the findings of your i
safeguards and security procedures are exempt from public disclosure;.
l therefore, the enclosures to-this letter will.not be placed in the Public Document Room and will receive limited distribution.
We have determined that the enclosures to this letter.so designated, contain
Safeguards Information and are subject to the controls of 10 CFR 73.21.
