(0 pen) Item (424-425/79-18-01): Erosion of Category I Backfill.
The inspector performed. a special announced inspection to witness partial removal of the Unit 2 tendon gallery mudslab and testing of the structural backfill beneath the mudslab. The inspector witnessed sand cone density tests, proving ring penetrometer testing and examined results of dynamic cone penetration tests on structural backfill beneath the mudslab. Testing was done in accordance with licensee commitments. Results of testing and analysis of effects of erosion on structural backfill and foundations of category I structures will be submitted in a report to the NRC by the licen-This item remains open pending NRC's review of the licensee's report.
