The licensee's cverall performance was considered acceptable.

Number and Nature of Licensee Event Reports During the assessment period six (6) construction deficiency reports (CDR's) were submitted by the licensee.
Two (2) COR's were the result of

construction /QA errors, one (1) CDR resulted from a vendor /QC error, two (2) resulted from a design / fabrication error and one resulted from a component failure during preoperational testing.

Management Conferences Held During past Twelve Months None Held E.
Licensee Activities Construction activity is continuing at a reduced level.
The licensee estimates construction progress to be 40% as of January 1,1981.
This is primarily structural activity. The reactor vessel is scheduled to be placed in 1982 as well as completion of the containment liner.
The
neutron shield tank has been sent to Babcock & Wilcox for repair of linear indications on the gib gussets and on the base gusset plates.
Repairs are scheduled for completion in August 1981.

Insoection Activities
Nine inspections were conducted during the assessment period.
Eight of these f.nspections included specialists.
Areas covered included concrete placement, structural steel welding, pipe welding and radiography, el,ectrical and instrumentation installation procedures, equipment storage & repair to the neutron shield tank.
The facility received 430 inspection hours during the assessment period.
