Inspection 50-311/79-26 This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. G. Napuda of this office on April 6, 9-12, 17-18 and 27 and May 11, 1979, at Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 2 of activities relating to your application for an NRC Operating License, and to the discus.sions held by Mr. Napuda with Mr. Midura and other members of your staff on April 18 and on April 27, 197 Also to subsequent telephone conversations as described in the below refer-enced inspection report and discussions between Mr. Napuda and E. Meyer of your staff on May 11, 1979, at the conclusion of the inspectio Areas examined during this inspection are described in the Office of Inspection and Enfrircement Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examin-ations of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspecto Within the scope of this inspection, no items of noncompliance were observe In accordance with Secti.on 2. 790 of the NRC s. "Rules of Practice, 11 Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.* If this report c6ntains any information that you ~r your contractor) believe to be. proprietary, it is necessary that you mak.e a written application within 20 days to this office to withhold such information f~om public disclosur Any such application must be accompanied by an affidavit executed by the owner of the information, which identifies the document or part sciught to be withheld, and which contains a statement of reasons which addresses with specificity the items whi.ch will be considered by the Commission as listed in subparagraph {_b}(_4l of Section 2.79 The i.nformati.on sought to be withheld shall be* incorporated as far as possible into a separate part of the affidavit.
