Inspection on May 27-30 and June 2-3, 1980 (Report No. 50-293/80-22)

Areas Inspected:

Included review of Security Plan; Security Organization; Physical Barriers (Protected Area and Vital Areas); Access Controls (Identification, Authori-zation and Badging; Search; Escorting; Vital Areas); Alarm Stations; Detection Aids; Communications; Testing and Maintenance; Compensatory Measures; Power Supply; Keys, Locks and Combinations; Records and Reports.

Licensee action on previously identi-fied noncompliance item related to physical security.

Follow-up on IE Circular 80-09 regarding communications systems.

The inspection involved 48 inspector-hours onsite by one NRC inspector.

The inspection began during regular hours; 11 inspector-h.ours were accomplished during offshift periods.

Results: The licensee was found to be in compliance with NRC requirements within the 16 areas examined during the inspection except for the following area:
