FORT CALHOUN STATION - NRC INSPECTION REPORTS 05000285/2017002 THROUGH 05000285/2017007

Dear Ms. Fisher:

This letter refers to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) inspection reports opened in error during the operational to decommissioning transition for Fort Calhoun Station. Inspection Reports 2017002 through 2017007 were opened against the operating phase of the plants life cycle. Unfortunately, our inspection report tracking system does not allow the re-assignment of opened reports to different phases; i.e. changing a report from operating phase to a decommissioning phase report. In addition, an upgrade to the inspection report tracking system generated new technical issues with these reports. Therefore, NRC Inspection Reports 2017002 through 2017007 are closed with subsequent decommissioning inspections assigned inspection report numbers after Inspection Report 2017007.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter and your response if you choose to provide one, will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the NRCs document system (ADAMS), accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
