Thank you for your letter dated May 28, 1985, informing us of the steps you have taken to correct the noncompliance which we brought to your attention in our letter dated April 29, 198 In regard to Item 2 of your response, this office never maintained that the cable splices made in the locations identified in your March 13, 1985, summary were unacceptabl As was indicated to you by us during several meetings with your staff at the site and in Region Ill, we did not consider splicing the cables in these locations to be nonconformin We were concerned that you did not convey in design documents your commitment to disconnect or isolate other cables sharing the tray carrying the cable splices. Your subsequent plans to relocate the splices and your correction of the false statement in your March 13 summary are considered appropriate to resolve this issu We will examine these matters during a future inspectio We will gladly discuss any questions you may have concerning this matte cc:
