Gentlemen:
In accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(a)(3), Georgia Power Company (GPC) hereby proposes a revision to the Plant Hatch Quality Assurance (QA) Program as described in Chapter 17 of the Unit 2 Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR). The proposed revision addresses the Plant Review Board's review of safety-related plant changes.
Enclosure i provides a detailed description of the proposed change to Unit 2 FSAR section 17.2 and GPC's justification for making the change. Enclosure 2 provides the i corresponding marked-up FSAR pages. l Based on the guidance of 10 CFR 50.54(a)(3)(iv), GPC understands the enclosed proposea change will be regarded as accepted by the Commission upon receipt of a letter to that effect from the appropriate reviewing office, or 60 days following submittal to the Commission, whichever occurs first.
