Dear Sir or Madam:

Subject:

COLUMBIA GENERATING STATION, DOCKET NO. 50-397 2016 ANNUAL ENVIRONMENTAL OPERATING REPORT This letter is submitted per the reporting requirements of Section 5.4.1 of the Columbia Generating Station Environmental Protection Plan (EPP) Appendix 8 to the Facility Operating License No. NPF-21.

A summary of the effluent data reported to the State of Washington Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council (EFSEC) on the monthly discharge monitoring reports is attached.

There are no commitments being made to the NRC by this letter. Should you have any questions or desire additional information regarding this report, please contact WK Whitehead at (509) 377-8794.
