' Entergy Operations submits the enclosed performance testing report in accordance with 10CFR55.45(b)(5Xii) and (vi). l l

Discrepancies identified during the initial simulator performance test have been corrected in l accordance with the Simulator Modificaticn Control Guideline included in Section I of the attached report.

At the time of tl,e initial simulator performance test, three exceptions were taken to l

ANSI /ANS 3.5-1985. Exceptions 1 and 3, have not changed since the previous letter (2CAN129104, dated December 6,1991). Exception 2 was revised by the installation of a new Instructors' Station. This exception is explained in detail in section 2 of this submittal.

Plant modifications which have been installed in the past four years and were determined to affect the simulator's appearance and fidelity have been incorporated in accordance with the Simulator Modification Control Guideline. As of this date, there are no outstanding plant modifications to be incorporated. A listing of plant modifications which have been incorporated into the Unit 2 plant reference simulator during this reporting period is provided in Section 3 of the attached report.

, i l l Simulator operability tests have continued on an annual basis and meet the requirements of

, ANSI /ANS 3.5-1985. The testing was conducted in the following manner:

l e Real-time Test (Annually)

• Normal Operations Test (25% per year) e Steady State Operations (Annually) e Surveillance Test (25% per year) e Transient Test (Annually) e Malfunction Test (25% per year)

New malfuretions which were incorporated into the simulator during the past four years have been included in our simulator operability testing. The upcoming four year operability test follows the format utilized during the past four year period and has been included in Section 4 of the attached report for your information.
