Arkansas Nuclear One - Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-313 and 50-368 License Nc3. DPR-51 and NPF-6 Proposcd Revision to the Industrial Security Plan Regarding the Prctected Area Barrier Gentlemen:

Pursuant to 10CFR50.54(p)(1), Entergy Operations is submitting a proposed change to the Arkansas Nuclear One (ANO) Industrial Security Plan (ISP) regarding the protected area barrier. It has been determined that this change should be submitted under the provisions of 10CFR50.90. The supporting documentation for this request and proposed revisions to the i ISP are attached.

In accordance with 10CFR50.91(a)(1) and 10CFR50.92(c), Entergy Operations has determined that this change involves no significant hazards considerations. The bases for this determination are provided in the attached submittal. Entergy Operations requests that the license amendment be effective upon issuance.

This proposed change addresses violations 313/9416-02 and 368/9416-02 issued in inspection report 50-313/94-16; 50-368/94-16. Currently, compensatory measures are in place pending resolution of this issue. These measures are being implemented at a cost of $12,000 per month; therefore, we request NRC's prompt review, i

The attached material contains current and proposed security measures; therefore, Entergy Operations has determined that the attached documentation contains safeguards information as specified by 10CFR73.21. The attached documentation should therefore be handled accordingly. -
