DPR-42 50-306 DPR-6u LER 2-98-02, Supplement 1 Defect in Prii.1ary System Pressure Boundary Observed on the Motor Tube Base of Part Length CRDM Housing The revised Licensee Event Report for this occurrence is attached. In the original LER submittal we committed to provide a supplement to the subject LER by April 13,1998.
By letter dated April 6,1998, we indicated the supplement to the LER would be delayed to May 22,1998 to be able to incorporate the information from tha formal root cause analysis being prepared by Westinghouse. The Westinghouse root cauce analysis (WCAP - 15054) was submitted to the NRC on May 15,1998.
In the report, we reiterated two NRC commitments (made with the original issuance of this LER on March 2,1993), indicated as the Corrective Action statement in italics.
