questions. Only one question is repeated from past 2 NRC exams.

5 If questions are repeated from previous 2 NRC exams, review post-exam analysis to determine quality of

questions. Done. No issues identified.

Simulator Scenario Outline Comments (12/9/2008)

Comment Resolution 1 Was facility-specific or industry-generic

operating experience used in development of the scenarios?

Yes. Hi swell, FCV-540 failure.

2 Was PRA used to identify risk-important

operator actions?

Yes. 3 2 scenarios are MOL, 1 is BOL, and 1 doesn't identify core life. Does training include differences? Yes. No simulator issues anticipated.

4 Provide ES-D-1's for Audit exam.

Will do. 5 Will identify B/U scenario during validation. Change name of B/U to Scenario 4.

Done. 6 For each scenario, complete Target Quantitative Attributes from ES-301-4 and include on D-1's.

Will do. 7 In Event column of D-1's, identify applicant position (i.e. R-ATC, N-SRO, BOP) Will do. 8 On Scenario Narrative - replace A, B, C with 1, 2, 3.

Will do. 9 Precursors to events don't count as events (Scenario 1, Events 5/6). Each event must have verifiable actions.

ATC. Restore letdown is N for SRO and BOP). Okay. 12 Scenario 3, Event 2 - D-1 says 900 MW, narrative says 800 MW.

Fixed. 900 MW is correct.

13 Scenario 3, Event 3: D-1 says NI-44 fails

high, narrative says Tc RTD fails hi Fixed. D-1 is correct.

14 Scenario 4, Event 5 - initiate steam leak as small, then ramp up slowly.

Will implement a 5 min ramp and test during

validation.

15 Scenario 4, Event 3 - is this 2 events?

No. 16 Scenario 4, Event 7 - how is this CT? Do all Train B components align

properly?

Not a CT. Fixed.

17 If Scenarios 2 and 4 are selected for the exam, ensure different applicants restore

letdown. Will do once exam scenarios are identified.

18 When preparing Draft Op Test, identify all Tech Specs and action statement(s) in the D-2 for each TS call.
