The Ramapo Munsee Lenape Anishinabek Nation are the descendants of the original people of Manhattan, including the Mahicanituck (Hudson River in English) and the Tri-State region of Connecticut, New Jersey and New York.

On behalf of the Ramapo Munsee, please consider this letter notice of the opposition of Ramapo Munsee, also on behalf of the Mahicanituck (known in ou r Munsee language as the river tha t flows both ways), to any release a nd dumping of radioactive waste and by-productions from the Indian Point nuclear reactor into the sacred Mahicanituck rivers and winds in order to protect the rights of the Ramapo Munsee, the rights of nature, the rights of the endangered sturgeon and other beings of nature and the rights of the 20 million people who live in the Hudson Valley region and call the river home.
