Dear Sir or Madam:

GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy Americas, LLC (GEH) hereby provides an updated decommissioning funding plan (DFP) pursuant to 10 CFR 72.30(c) for the Morris Operation SNM-2500 license (Reference 1).

The decommissioning cost estimate was reviewed and updated in 2019 by an independent third-party engineering firm. As a result of this update, the cost estimates primarily for waste inventory and disposal costs have been lowered and prior approval is requested to allow lowering the financial assurance surety b'ond amount.

The updated MO DFP is provided as an enclosure to this letter and replaces the previously submitted version (Reference 2). Please note that the DFP contains both security related and sensitive proprietary information and is requested to be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390.

Revised DFP sections compared to the previous version are identified with a vertical line in the right-hand margin on each revised page.

Please contact me at (910) 819-5950 if you have any questions.

Si7~A Scott P. Murray, Manager Facility Licensing
