SUBJECT:

Status of Shoreham Local Plan as of 23 November 1982 The June 8, 1982 letter from D?C Chairman Hennessy to Dr. Cordaro, LILCO, stated that 51 planning elements were adequate, 11 were rated as needing improvement, 29 were inadequate and 8 were missing.

The review completed by REPG on November 23, 1982 indicated substantial improvement in the local plan for the Shoreham site.

Of the planning elements applicable to local plans, only 4 items were rated as needing improvement and 2 as inadequate. The balance were rated as adequate. There are no planning elements rated as missing.

g The total of 6 itema rated as less than adequate is scme-what misleading. Since rtany 0654 planning elements are repetitive, a deficiency may appear under several planning elements. For example, missing nomograms for dose assessment which will be pro-vided prior to fuel load will satisfy 2 planning elements. The question of letter of agreements occurs in three elements. The remaining element rated as needing improvement requires display of demographic material already provided in chart form on a local map with the evacuation " ones."

As of the reviews completed by REPG on November 22, 1982, 89 elements were adequate, 6 were rated as needing improvement and 4 elements were inadequate.
