On July 31, 1987, Duquesne Light Company filed, on behalf of The Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company (CEI) and The Toledo Edison Company (TED), an Application for License Amendment and Approval in Connection with Sale and Leaseback Transactions by l

CEI and TED; and by letter dated September 14, 1987, potentia]

equity investors in the CEI/TED sale and leaseback transactions  ;

were identified. One additional potential equity investor has since been identified, as was discussed in reference.(3). PNC Financial Corporation may invest up to $100 million in the CEI/TED transactions. _( PNC Corporation has been previously identified as a potential equity-investor with regard to the separate sale and leaseback transactions by Duquesne Light Company). Copies of PNC's most recent annual and quarterly financial report are. attached.
