Preparation For Graded Exorci1e LERO Training Program At this point we expect that a federally graded exercise of the LERO plan will be held in mid-February. It is clear that LERO will be held to r. ore rigorous standards than any other local amergency response organization. Furthermore, the results of the exercise will be subject to litigation by our opponents. No

, matter how well LERO performs, and we are confident We can achieve the best grals ever, the intervonors will claim that the drill was a failure and shoreham should not open.

However, in some cases this may prove impossible particularly in the last couple of weeks prior to the exercise. .

In view of the importance of a successful graded exercise to the future of our Company, you are requested to communicate to your personnel that attendance at these LERO training sessions is to tske precsdence over all other Company business. Generally this means that only the' unavoidable absence from work is a valid reason for missing'any LERO training. Therefora, all requests for being excused from any type of LERO training for reasons other than. unavoidable absence from work will first require'your ex-plicit endorsagtent, and then my approval.
