, GERVED SEP 1 1 1992 ESTABLISHMENT OF ATOMIC SAFETY AND LICENSING BOARD Pursuant to delegation by the Commission dated December 29, 1972, published in the Federal Register, 37 F.R. 28710 (1972), and Sections 2.105, 2.700, 2.702, 2.714, 2.714a, 2.717 and 2.721 of the Commission's Regulations, all as amended, an Atomic Safety and Licensing Board is being established in the following proceeding to rule on petitions for leave to intervene and/or requests for hearing and to preside over the proceeding in the event that a hearing is ordered.

PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, Unit Nos. 1 and 2 Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-80 and DPR-82 This Board is being established pursuant to a notice published by the commission on July 22, 1992, in the Federal Register (57 F.R. 32571 and 32575) entitled, " Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Amendment to Facility Operating License and Proposed No Significant Hazards Consideration Determination and Opportunity for Hearing." amendment would extend the expiration date of the operating License for Unit 1 from April 23, 2008 to September 22, 2021, and the expiration date for the Unit 2 license from December 9, 2010 to April 26, 2025.
