Facility Operating Licenses No. DPR-80 and DPR-82 October 28, 1993 MEMORANDUM AND ORDER (Motig for Extension of Time)

On October 18, 1993, San Luis Obispo Mothers for Peace (MFP) filed a motion seeking a two-week extension of time within which to file its proposed findings of fact and conclusions of law, which are currently scheduled for filing on November 5, 1993. MFP justified its request by citing the complex nature of the record, limitations on the resources available to it, and the substantial time before the proposed amendments are to take effect.

By our Memorandum and Order (Responses to Motion for  !

Extension of Time), dated October 19, 1993, we established response dates for PG&E and the NRC Staff. We also noted that,Ron its face, MFP's request appeared reasonable and that we would need compelling reasons to deny it. Further, we noted a revised schedule for filing proposed findings 1

were the extension to be granted, affording the Staff and l PG&E equivalent extensions for their filings. )

In timely responses dated October 25, 1993 and October 27, 1993, respectively, PG&E and the Staff noted  ;

some reservations about the adequacy of the reasons advanced by MFP but did not oppose granting the extension. ,

Accordingly, MFP's requested extension of time is aranted.

The resulting schedule will result in a filing date of Friday, November 19, 1993, for MFP; Friday, December 10, 1993 for the NRC Staff's proposed findings of fact / conclusions of law; and Monday, December 20, 1993 for PG&E's reply.
