J MOTION TO ESTABLISH SCHEDULE FOR HEARINGS 1

1 Florida Power & Light Company (" Licensee") hereby files i

its Motion to Establish Schedule for Hearings. In support of its Motion, the Licensee states the following:

. 1. In a Memorandum and Order dated September i

16, 1985, the Licensine Board admitted Joette Lorion and the Center for Nuclea: Responsibility, Inc. (collectively referred to as "Intervenors") as a party to this proceeding.

Additionally, the Board accepted for litigation seven of the Intervenors' proposed contentions, as modified by the i

Board.

I 2. The Licensee believes that the following

! schedule provides for the orderly progression of this proceeding while-assuring that the parties have a reasonable and sufficient 8510180320 851015 PDR ADOCK 05000250 o

3. Ms. Lorion and counsel for the NRC Staff have authorized the Licensee to state that the Intervenoru f

Given the nature of the issues involved and the fact that the increased fuel enrichment proceeding encompasses only one contention, the Licensee believes that essentially identical schedules for the two proceedings are compatible and that hearings in the spent fuel pool expansion proceeding could commence shortly after the close of the record in the increased fuel enrichment proceeding.
