FOR HE\ RING 1 By letter dated July 19, 1996 and pursuant to 10 C.F.R. 6 2.103(b), the Staff ,

l issued a proposed denial of the application of Ralph L. Tetrick for a senior reactor operator license for the Turkey Point Plant. hir. Tetrick requested reconsideration of the I proposed denial by letter of July 30, 1996. On reconsideration, the Staff sustained the

proposed denial in a letter of September 12, 1996. The letter gave hir. Tetrick the  ;

opportunity to request, within 20 days of the date of the letter, a hearing pursuant to 1

10 C.F.R. 6 2.103(b)(2). hir. Tetrick requested a hearing by letter of September 25, 1996.

Inasmuch as the hearing request is timely, the Staff does not oppose hir. Tetrick's i

request. If his hearing request is granted, the Staff will be prepared to submit a hearing file pursuant to 10 C.F.R. 6 2.1231.
