MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE INTERVENORS' PROPOSED FINDINGS OF FACT AND CONCLUSIONS OF LAW Intervenors, the Center for Nuclear Responsibility and Joette Lorion, hereby motion that this Board grant a 14 day extension of time within which Intervenors' Proposed Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law may be filed, to and including February 14, 1986.

In support of this motion, Intervenors list the following factor for their late filing as required by Rule 2.711 (a) to show that the good cause requirements are met:

1. Joette Lorion, a party, who has performed the responsibility of being a liason between Counsel and the expert witness, Dr. Gordon Edwards, and otherwise provided research or technical assistance, due to illness was hospitalized for a period of days during the month of January. This illness, coupled with delays in receiving and transmitting materials, 8602040315 060131 PDR ADOCK 05000? O O

has created a situation where Intervenors are unable to complete and submit their Proposed Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law by January 31, 1986. In addition, Dr. Gordon Edwards, who has just recently received all the materials necessary to properly prepare the Proposed Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law, has informed Intervenors that he would need additional time if he has to act as a technical advisor in preparation of Intervenors' Brief.

Therefore, Intervenors have met the good cause requirements of Rule 2.711 (a), and ask this Board for an extension of time within which their Proposed Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law may be filed to and including February 14, 1986.

Respectfully submitted, h CULM A - k Martin H. Hodder*
