SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT (SON)- TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION (TS)

CHANGE 94-17,"ONE-TIME EXTENSION OF SURVEILLANCE REQUIREMENT (SR) INTERVALS - UNIT 1" P in accordance with 10 CFR 50.90, we are enclosing a requested amendment to License DPR-78 to change the operating license of SON Unit 1. The proposed change will add a temporary license condition that extends certain TS SR intervals to coincide with the Unit 1 Cycle 7 refueling outage.

The proposed operating license change is identified in Enclosure 1. The justification for the proposed change is provided in Enclosure 2. A proposed determination of no significant hazards consideration performed pursuant to 10 CFR 50.92 is provided in Enclosure 3. A listing of SRs to be extended is provided in Enclosure 4.

TVA requests NRC approval of this operating license change request by February 1995, to support the extension of SRs that will exceed their allowable  ;

extension in accordance with TS 4.0.2.

TVA requests a 30-day implementation period for this TS change following t

issuance.
