50-328 SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT (SON) - REVISION TO THE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION (TS) BASES (REVISIONS BR-6, UNIT 1 AND BR-7 and BR-8, UNIT 2)
The purpose of this letter is to inform NRC of changes that TVA has incorporated into the Bases section of the Units 1 and 2 TSs. Specifically, TVA has revised Bases Section 3/4.7.8 for both units to clarify the intent of the vacuum relief flow during TS required testing of the auxiliary building gas treatment system in accordance with Surveillance 4.7.8.d.3. The Unit 2 Bases Section 4.7.1.2 has also been revised to
-indicate the' current operational functions of the turbine driven auxiliary feedwater
. level control valves that were modified during the Unit 2 Cycle 6 refueling outage.
These valves have been modified to be nonmodulating and automaticelly open upon an accident signal. The Unit 1 Bases have not been revised to include this information because the modification will not be completed until the Unit 1 Cycle 7 refueling outage. The enclosure provides the revised Bases pages affected by these revisions.
