NOS-COMPLIANCE AND DATL: TSS daily maximum concentratien of 46mg/L on 7/31/91 from a cenposite sLmple 9 0700. A grab eample @ 1215 TSS was 25cg/L on 7/31/?l. Tne ec=posite sampic taken on 8/1/91 for TSS was 9mg/L.

CAUSE: The air ccmpressor was inoperable and it is suspected that a filter outlet valve did not c1cse properly during a filter backwash, allowing filter backwash te flow into the clear water reservoir resulting in high effluent TSS. The other pessibility is that the filter media did not perform its function properly.

CORRECTIVE ACTIC41: The air compressor nas been repaired. Work requests have been written te inspect and repair both filter outlet valves. New filter media has been cbtained and work requents have been submitted to replace the media in both filters.
