NPDES Non-Compliances for Quad-Cities Nuclear Power Station - lL-0005037

Dear Si rs:

In accordance with Standard Condition 12, we wish to submit the following notice of non-compliances:

Discharge: 006 Sanitary Treatment Plant Parameter and Permit Limi ,: Fecal Coliform 400 colonies /100 ml Non-Compliance and Date: Fecal Collform > 400 colonies /100 ml on June 20, 1905.

Cause: Due to excessive flows, the chlorination system was exhausted. The sample was pulled at a time when the chlorine residual was < .1 ppm. The residual is normally 2-3 ppm, and is checked every other day.

Corrective Action: Chlorine tablets were added to the System immediately. Another sample was pulled with the results being zero colonies /100 ml sample. It was determined that the System was without chlorine for a maximum eight hours out of the seven day period.
