NPDES Non-Compliances for Quad-Cities Generating Station IL-0005037
Dear Sirs:
In accordance with Standard Condition 12 we wish to submit the following notice of non-compliances:
DISCHARGE: 005 Sanitary Treatment Plant PARAMETER AND PERMIT LIMIT:
Fecal Coliform 400 colonies / 100 ml NON-COMPLIANCE AND DATE:
Fecal Collform > 400 colonies / 100 ml on January 28, 1987 Too Numerous To Count (T.N.T.C.)
CAUSE:
The chlorinator tablet tubes have spacers in the bottom of them to control Cl concentration. Very low flow caused the effluent not to come in contact with the tablets. A concentration was 0.4 ppm on the day of the non-compi1 ante.
CORRECTIVE ACTION:
Removed spacers from both tablet tubes to allow for low flows, no pumps on, to come in contact with tablets to maintain adequate Cl residual.

February 2,1987 Attached please find the corrected copy of the NPDES Non-Compliances for Quad-Cities Generating Station letter number RAR-86-42.
The letter number was assigned in the 1986 book by mistake -- therefore it had to be re-numbered.
Please replace your copy of the letter with the one attached -- RAR-87-6.
