NPDES Non-Compliances for Quad-Cities Generating Station IL-0005037
Dear Sirs:
In accordance with Standard Condition 12, we wish to submit the following notice of non-compilances:
DISCHARGE: 005 Sanitary Treatment Plant PARAMETER AND PERMIT LIMIT:
Fecal Coll form 400 colonies /100ml NON COMPLIANCE AND DATE:
Fecal Collform >400 colonies /100ml on August 20, 1986, approximately 5400 colonics/100ml.
CAUSE:
The chlorinator tablet tube contained chlorine tablets but the tablets were not in contact with the ef fluent.
CORRECTIVE ACTION:
The chlorine residual and the chlorination tablet tube is checked daily.
New translucent chlorination tablet tubes have been purchased and will be installed, this will make it easier to visually inspect the tube, if there are any questions, please call Ray Moore of my staf f at (309)654-2241, extension 2731.
