S64 080208 800 Tennessee ValleyAuthority, Post Office Box 2000, Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee 37384-2000 February 8, 2008 10 CFR 50.90 U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission ATTN: Document Control Desk Washington, D.C. 20555 Gentlemen:

In the Matter of Docket No. 50-328 Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA)

SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT (SQN) SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (RAI) REGARDING UNIT 2 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGE 06-06, PROBABILITY OF PRIOR CYCLE DETECTION (POPCD) (TAC NO. MD4110)

Reference:

TVA letter to NRC dated January 8, 2008, "Sequoyah Nuclear Plant (SQN) Response to Request for Additional Information (RAI) Regarding Unit 2 Technical Specification Change 06-06, Probability of Prior Cycle Detection (POPCD) (TAC No. MD4110)"

Following transmittal of the reference letter, it was noted that the word "negative" had been inadvertently omitted from the response to NRC Question 22. The last paragraph of the response to Question.22 should read, in part, "...except if significant negative trends in POPCD occur."

Also, to further clarify TVA's response to NRC Question 23, TVA will model the uncertainties associated with the POPCD distribution through a Monte Carlo approach similar to the method approved for Diablo Canyon. This will be tracked as part of the commitment identified in Enclosure 3 of the reference letter.

No additional regulatory commitments are identified by this letter.
