UCS RESPONSE TO STAFF MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO RESPOND TO THE BOARD'S CLASS 9 QUESTIONS The staff has asked for 40 additional days, until June 1, l

1980, to respond to the Board's straightforward request for a  ;

description of the accident sequences which it is considering.

Since the Board has only asked the staff to describe what the staff says it is already doing and has not asked the staff to do any additional accident analyses, UCS finds it difficult to understand why so much time is required.

However, we will not interpose an objection to the exten-sion if it is understood that we will be permitted to pose interrogatories and/or to take depositions based upon the 1

staff's eventual filing. Therefore, UCS requests the Board j to permit the extension on the basis that parties will have until June 15, 1980, to file discovery requests on the staff's response. - ,
