Dear Mr. Sunseri:

In communications on April 25, 2013, Mr. S. Hedger, Operator Licensing Branch, and Mr. B.

Muilenburg, Licensing, made arrangements for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to conduct an inspection using Temporary Instruction (TI)-186, Inspection of Procedures and Processes for Responding to Potential Aircraft Threats, at the Wolf Creek Generating Station.

This inspection is planned for the week of December 9, 2013. The NRC inspectors request to observe a tabletop or control room simulator exercise, combined with plant walkthroughs with plant operators to allow inspection of TI-186 attributes. Mr. Muilenburg and other staff members have been advised of this request and provided with the name and address of the NRC lead inspector assigned to this inspection.
