Dear Sir or Madam:

In accordance with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code,Section XI, paragraph IWA-1400 (c), Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergy) is enclosing an approved copy of the Waterford 3 (W3) Inservice Inspection (ISI) Program for the Third 10-Year Interval.

The third interval commences on June 1, 2008 and concludes on July 1, 2017. A description of the program is included in, the Attachment.

By letter (Reference 1), Entergy transmitted the relief requests, as shown in Table 3.4-1 of the Attachment, for Waterford 3's 10-Year ISI interval.

By letter (Reference 2), Entergy committed to withdraw Request for Alternative CEP-ISI-007 pertaining to the application of Code Case N-663 and its use at W3 upon NRC approval of the Risk-informed ISI Program. By letter (Reference 3), the NRC Staff approved the use of ASME Code Case N-716. Waterford 3 is hereby withdrawing Code Case N-663, and it is no longer incorporated in the Waterford 3 ISI Program, as shown in Table 3.3.1 of the Attachment.

With the submittal of this new 10-Year ISI Program, the regulatory commitment to withdraw Code Case N-663 is complete.,4c4¢2 W3F1-2008-0045-Page 2 of 3 Entergy is providing the ISI Program Third 10-Year Interval for information'only.

Entergy is not requesting NRC approval of the program.Entergy is also providing notification, of the intent to use the ASME OM Code, 2001 Edition through 2003 Addenda, subsection ISTD in place of the requirements for snubbers in ASME Section Xl, 2001 Edition through 2003 Addenda, IWF-5200(a) and (b) and IWF-5300(a) and (b), as allowed by 10 CFR 50.55a(b)(3)(v).

Appropriate changes to plant Technical Specifications (TS) will be submitted to the NRC for review and approval prior to implementation of the updated ASME OM Code Edition and Addenda.This letter contains no commitments.
