Xn the Matter of Tennessee Valley Authori.ty Docket Nos.50-259 50-260 50-296 BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT (BFN)-UPDATED FINAL SAFETY ANALYSIS REPORT (FSAR), AMENDMENT 8 As required by 10 CFR 50.71, enclosed is one signed original and ten copies of Amendment 8 of the updated BFN FSAR.A list of commi.tments is also enclosed.Amendment 8 is a one year update from Amendment, 7 submi.tted in 1990.Significant clarity and readabi.lity have been achi.eved in the drawings, figures, and tables.Appendix G, Plant Nuclear Safety Operational Analysis figures have been administratively enhanced for better readability.

The FSAR verificati.on pr.ogram has been completed.

However, not all of the results of the program have been included in Amendment 8 due to the cut-off for the annual FSAR update year.The remainder of the FSAR verification program results will be included in Amendment 9.This will include Appendix C, Structural Qualification of Subsystems and Components which wi.ll be labeled as"historical".
