REV: 5 FR-H.5 RESPONSE TO STEAM GENERATOR LOW LEVEL PAGE 2 of 5 A. PURPOSE This procedure provides actions to respond to a S/G low level condition.

B. ENTRY CONDITIONS/SYMPTOMS

l. ENTRY CONDITIONS This procedure is entered from:
a. F-0.3, HEAT SINK Critical Safety. Function Status Tree, on a YELLOW condition.

CAUTION STEAM RELEASES FROM AFFECTED S/G(S) SHOULD BE MINIMIZED.

o Adverse CNMT values should be used whenever CNMT pressure is greater than 4 psig or CNMT radiation is greater than 10+05 R/hr.

1 Identify Affected S/G(s):

a. Narrow range level - LESS THAN a. Return to procedure and step in 5'/i [25'/o adverse CNMT] effect.

2 Verify S/G Blowdown Isolation Place S/G blowdown valves master Valves From Affected S/G(s) switch to CLOSE.

CLOSED-IF valves can ~NO be closed

~ AOV-5738 for S/G A manually, THEN dispatch AO to

~ AOV-5737 for S/G B locally isolate blowdown.

o S/G A, close V-5701 o S/G B, close V-5702

3 Check If Affected Secondary Side Is S/G(s)

Intact:

IF affected S/G(s) previously identified as faulted. THEN return to procedure and step in effect.

o Pressure in affected S/G(s)

STABLE OR INCREASING IF affected S/G pressure decreasing in an uncontrolled manner or o Pressure in affected S/G(s) completely depressurized and has GREATER THAN 110 PSIG not been previously isolated, THEN go to E-2, FAULTED STEAM GENERATOR ISOLATION, Step 1.

4 Check AFW Flow To Affected IF affected S/G(s) wide range level S/G(s) GREATER THAN 50 GPM greater than 35 inches [100 inches adverse CNMT], THEN establish AFW flow as necessary to refill affected S/G(s).

IF affected S/G(s) wide range level less than 35 inches [100 inches adverse CNMT] . THEN do not establish AFW flow to affected S/G(s). Consult the plant engineering staff to evaluate refilling the affected S/G(s) as part of long-term plant recovery and go to 6.
