Rev03.Thissupplement modifiesanoriginalassumption thattheBAMTwouldbeneededasthesourceoffluidfordepressurization oftheRCSfrom2200psiatotheHighPressureSafetyInjection (HPSI)pumpshutoffhead.Thedepressurization wouldrequireadditional inventory ifthemotoroperatedvalvebetweentheRefueling WaterTank(RWT)andthechargingpumpsuction,V2504,failedtoopenautomatically,and couldnotbeopenedmanually.

Oncethedepressurization

occurred, thecooldowncouldbecontinued usingfluidfromtheRWT.ThisrevisionnowassumesthatV2504canbeopenedmanually, therefore, theBAMTinventory neededtodepressurize totheHPSIpumpshutoffheadisnolongerrequired.

ThisresultsinrevisionoftherequiredBAMTborationvolumesandtheTechnical Specification BAMTstoragerequirements.

ThisSupplement isapplicable toSt.LucieUnit1only.RevisionoftheBAMTVolumerequirements willalsoresultinachangetotheBAMTvolumeslistedintheTechnical Specification BASESSection3/4.1.2.ThellBASESvalueswerepresented onpages32and33ofthereport.Inthereport,thetextoftheBasesinsertusedtheexactBAMTborationvolume,ratherthantheABBCombustion Engineering NuclearServicesPage3ofl2 BoricrlcidConcelurntion Reduction Eorr.Sul.iCEJV-353IF requiredstoragevolume.TheBASEStextwasrevisedtocorrespond totherequiredstoragevolumes,whichwereconservative.

SinceRWTwaterwouldberiBBColnbustion Engineering nuclearServicesPnge4of12 BoricAcidConcentration Reduction Eort.Sul.1CEN-353(F unavailable throughtheCVCSforcooldownwithV2504'closed, additional waterinventory requirements wereimposedontheBAMTstoallowfordepressurization oftheRCSdowntoHPSIshutoffhead(1200psia)usingauxiliary spray.Avolumeadjustment of1000gallonswasused,tocoverthe905.9gallonsrequiredforthedepressurization (CEN-353(F),

Rev.03,Page29).Theborationvolumeswereadjustedbyroundinguptothenext50gallonsandthenadding1000gallonstocoverthedepressurization volume.Manualhandwheel operation ofmotoroperatedvalveV2504isacceptable forSt.LucieUnit1cooldownscenarios.

Revisingthisassumption willmaketheSt.LucieUnit1analysisagreewiththeUnit2analysisforthisassumption.

Withmanualoperation ofV2504,adjustment oftheborationvolumetoincludethevolumefordepressurization willnolongerberequired.
